In June 2016, I traveled to Cordova, Alaska with a Science and Memory team of student peers. During our 10 day adventure of observing the complexities of the climate and environment we saw adapting as surviving, bonding as living and creating as thriving. Our ABCs project is designed to show that we cannot take advantage of the resources we rely on, nor can we blindly accept intolerance and indifference. Instead we must be focused, mindful, and proactive.
We had energy to share our experiences and knowledge about the effects of climate change upon our return.
November 8th, 2016 hit and for the first time in a long time, we felt hopeless. As communicators with a duty to provide truthful insights and information, we decided to shift the direction of our campaign. No longer was it about climate change, but rather a broader change in attitudes and ideas.
By aligning with our campaign, you help create and communicate a future that this earth and our children deserve. We are not the few who blindly believe in a bright future, but the many who live with ambition and determination.
